FAI … rivivere i Tesori d’Italia

Ascoli Piceno, con il suo centro storico interamente costruito in travertino, è una delle città più belle e monumentali d'Italia. Se a dirvelo è un Sambenedettese … potete crederci!
Ieri con una coppia di Amici (Stefano e Maria) e i lori bellissimi bimbi (Rachele e Samuele) abbiamo approfittato della giornata FAI di primavera per farci una passeggiata ad Ascoli Piceno. L’obiettivo era visitare il Forte Malatesta , cosi chiamato perché fu edificato, sopra una struttura di epoca romana, dal condottiero locale Galeotto Malatesta nel 1349. Purtroppo la visita a questo edificio è fallita ma per un consolante motivo … c'erano centinaia di persone a far la fila!!! La mancata visita ovviamente non mi ha fatto piacere ma vedere tutta quella gente per strada alla ricerca di luoghi da visitare … si!
Oltre al forte vi erano molte altre strutture aperte per l’occasione e cosi abbiamo potuto far visita al Ponte di Cecco, al Palazzo del Comune (o dell’Arengo) e al Palazzo San Filippo dove nella splendida sala del De Carolis, simbolo di unione di tutto il territorio Piceno (Fermo compreso), Antonio ha fatto le veci del Presidente della Provincia.
